FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the times of your workshops?

All workshops except the Night Photography workshop start at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm. The Night Photography workshop starts at 6:30pm and finishes at 9:30pm.

What equipment should I bring with me?

You will need to bring a DSLR camera, lens / lenses and a memory card. A tripod is also required for the Night photography course. Please feel fee to bring laptops and any other equipment you may want to use although these are not a necessity.

Do I need to bring paper and a pen to take notes?

We do recommend that you bring paper and a pen, however a book may be purchased on the day or via our products page.

I only have a Bridge / Hybrid camera. Can I still attend a workshop?

Our Beginners Masterclass will still benefit you although there will be parts of the day that won't apply to your camera because a bridge camera (or hybrid as they are sometimes known) does not have all the functions of a DSLR. You will still leave at the end of the day feeling confident in how to use your camera. For our other, more advanced workshops a DSLR is a requirement and a bridge camera would not suffice.

Who or what will we be shooting?

On the Beginners Masterclass, Intermediate and Night Photography workshops you will be taking images of the local area putting into practice all that you have been taught during the morning.

How are the lessons taught?

All the lessons are taught in a very informal way - we want you to relax and enjoy the day and ask as many questions as you need. For larger groups, we provide highly trained assistantsto be on hand to answer any questions you have. Fun is a large part of the day and many people leave having made new friends.

Do I need to bring a packed lunch?

Yes please. Tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits are offered throughout the day.

What about the weather?

All courses will still run regardless of the weather.
